AN: Castiel receives an order that he is more than happy to obey. (Ashoka Tree: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashoka_tree, farm1.static.flickr.com/147/405607576_88761da27a.jpg)

Chapter Sixteen: Maestro

Dean knew that Castiel had something to do with him "forgetting" his less than pleasant dreams, but he was too greatful to ask. It only made him wonder exactly how much Cas and Uriel did for him and Sam. On second thought, he didn't want to know anything that Uriel did for Sam.

He liked where he was with Castiel, he really did. However, and it was a really big however, after... Clover and what Zachariah had shown them, Dean knew that he could have more and that Castiel wouldn't say no. He would willingly give himself to Dean.

It was an exhilarating, yet terrifying thought.

He could have one of the most powerful creatures in the universe at his feet.

And he finally got a damn daisy to give his angel.

...Huh.

His angel.

Sam was in the shower and wouldn't hear him so Dean tested the words.

"My angel."

Little did he know that he was heard.

--------

Castiel didn't smile, he didn't blush.

He just... glowed.

He literally glowed with happiness.

It was a soft, warm feeling that Uriel felt blessed to bask in.

John and Mary watched from under the shade of a massive Ashoka.

The Sorrowless Tree.

The sweet smell of its bright flowers washed over them like perfume.

John nodded in approval and Mary simply smiled.

There was nothing that had to be said.

His angel.

Zachariah looked on in disapproval until one of the cherubs imitated the sound of an electric pencil sharpener.

He glared at them but they only blinked innocently.

One of them even dared to sneeze in an adorable manner.

Two Archangels were also a part of the small crowd watching.

Abel stuck his tongue out at Zachariah then flew over to Raguel and Ramiel.

"Hello, little one," Raguel pleasantly said to the cherub. "Where is your master," he playfully asked.

All Archangels immediately knew when another was close by so Uriel immediately  turned to face them.

Raguel motioned for her to follow him and she left after she notified Castiel.

Uriel raised an eyebrow and Raguel grinned viciously.

"We have captured Alistair," Ramiel informed her in his soft, melodic voice. "He was attempting to open a Seal by killing Reapers, but we had someone go... under cover," Raguel explained.

"...We did," she asked in surprise.

"We did," Ramiel said with a nod.

"Alistair went in for the kill with the arrogance of a well fed predator, but it turned out that he was prey," Raguel said with a satisfied smirk.

"And?"

Raguel chuckled and Ramiel gave Uriel an indulgent smile.

"And you know us far too well, little sister," Raguel said with a shake of his head. "He has... information that we need."

Ah.

"We would like Dean Winchester to-"

"No."

"...No?"

"No," Uriel repeated. "That would be the equivalent of leaving a rape victim alone in a honey moon suite with their rapist," she flatly said.

The other Archangels actually thought about it then nodded in understanding.

"What would you have us do, little sister," Ramiel asked.

One person immediately came to mind and Uriel smiled.

It was not a nice smile.

--------

"He looks very... happy."

"Does it disturb you?"

"A little," Gabriel admitted. "Castiel is very unique."

"Not all of us can bring tidings of great joy, my friend," Michael chuckled as he watched Uriel join her friend.

"She also looks happy," he pointed out.

"...A demon is going to bleed, of course Uriel is happy," Gabriel said as he rolled his eyes.

Michael laughed and it was a beautiful sound to hear. Few of their kind ever got to see him smile and to hear Michael laugh was a lovely thing.

"Is she...?"

Uriel had Castiel in a headlock and it was such a ridiculous sight to see that Gabriel had to laugh.

"Perhaps it is not such a bad thing that they are happy,"  Michael said.

They sat in a companionable silence until Zerachiel joined them.

"...What did you do," Gabriel wearily asked as he unconsciously leaned against Michael.

It was highly amusing how Zerachiel managed to look insulted, guilty, cheeky, and innocent without actually saying anything.

"I did what He has ordained me to do," he finally said with an exaggerated dignity.

"...Bullshit."

"Michael!"

"He's right."

"Don't encourage him."

Raphael shrugged and even such a casual movement seemed so graceful.

"If you are done distracting me," Gabriel pointedly said to Rapahel, "what did you do, Zerachiel? And stop pouting!"

"...Did I not get the memo for this meeting," Raguel asked as he looked at the four.

"It is not a-"

"Zerachiel said he would permanently turn Zachariah into a pencil holder-" "That is not funny, Michael!" "-if he ever again overextended what little authority he had," Ramiel helpfully said.

"Zerachiel!"

"He's right."

"Not now, Raphael!"

"He's a dick."

"Ragu... Why am I the only one stopping this," he asked the others.

"Your squabbling only amuses me," Michael said with a smirk as Ramiel nodded in agreement.

"I don't mean to interrupt-"

"You failed to interrupt anything productive," Michael gently said.

Castiel nodded and Uriel tried to figure out why no one told her there was a meeting.

"Does Alistair have to remain... living?"

"...Do pigs fly," Zerachiel asked with a raised eyebrow.
