Title: Ice in your Veins (and my Heart in your Mouth)
Pairing: Eli/Oskar
Fandom: Let the Right One In
Rating: PG
Summary: Always is a long time.
Oskar doesn't think about sex because Eli doesn't.
Kissing is always something intimate and easy between them, but it doesn't feel like it's enough anymore. It makes Oskar feel hard and confused because there's nothing more perfect than Eli.
Everyone else is too ordinary.
“Would you like to find a girl? I would let you.”
Oskar shakes his head and brings Eli's small frame closer.
All he needs is this.
Pale, smooth skin and dark, wild hair and eyes that are far too knowing.
“I would let you,” Eli repeats as their hands find each other in the dark.
Oskar shakes his head again and kisses slim, graceful fingers.
“I don't want a girl,” he stubbornly says. “I have you. Why would I need a girl?”
Eli draws words in languages that have been dead longer than Oskar has been alive across his skin.
“You'll want a girl because all boys do.”
“No! I don't want anyone else, just you, only you. Always.”
“Always is a long time, Oskar.”
“Then give me always.”
He's older now, stronger. Not stronger than Eli, never stronger than Eli, but strong enough to protect Eli.
“We could be like this always.”
“Always is a long time,” Eli gently repeats. “You're still a child, you'll always be a child,” Eli sighs.
Oskar says nothing and holds Eli close until he can feel cold skin steal the heat from his.
The apartment has two bedrooms and they always find their way into the same bed.
They play games and take walks in the dark.
Oskar is interning at a local hospital.
Eli has a safe, steady supply of blood.
“Give me always.”
He gets the same answer he's been getting every night for the past 10 years.
Eli just smiles then kisses him.
